Janice Cantore

Welcome...
To Hope-Inspired Stories, for anyone who'd like to discover more about books and stories that uplift and encourage.

Several years ago, while teaching high school art, I discovered I was as thrilled as my students when they won awards or were acknowledged for their accomplishments, and that promoting other people's good works was very gratifying.

So it is my hope you are blessed with a message of grace as I was, through the words of authors featured here. Please join me in welcoming writers of fiction, nonfiction, and devotionals; of romance, mystery, historical and contemporary stories as they share their work.

It is my pleasure to present "Cold Aim," by Janice Cantore, a thrilling story of suspense. When I discovered that she was a former police officer of twenty-two years, I knew I'd enjoy her stories:

Janice Cantore brings it all to the table. Experience, a story-telling talent, and crime-fighting credentials. All add authenticity to this exciting suspense novel. She develops her story with rising tension (chapter 24 is chilling!), along with the beauty of faith woven throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Cantore's book, and look forward to reading more of her stories.

Police Chief Tess O’Rourke’s small town is still reeling from a devastating fire when the FBI asks for help: Could she shelter a witness in a high-profile human trafficking case? Initially reluctant to put the townspeople of Rogue’s Hollow at risk, Tess is swayed after she sees Pastor Oliver Macpherson’s genuine conviction to rescue those in need, a trait in him she’s coming to love more each day.

Tess’s fledgling faith is tested when crews of workmen from out of town come in to assist with the fire cleanup and she worries that one of these strangers might shine a light on things best kept hidden. Neither she nor Oliver knows that Rogue’s Hollow is already home to a suspect from a twenty-five-year-old murder case . . . and someone is taking cold aim at those Tess is sworn to protect.

Linore Rose Burkard

Welcome...
To Hope-Inspired Stories, for anyone who'd like to discover more about books and stories that uplift and encourage.

It is my pleasure to present "Forever, Lately," by Linore Rose Burkard. This is such a fun story of Time Travel Romance set in contemporary and Regency periods. I've been a follower of Linore's books for years and have thoroughly enjoyed her Regency novels. This is a delightful read; the characters are well-written with a hint of Jane Austen's deceptively light-hearted style and sharp wit. Ms. Burkard seamlessly weaves two time periods together through the discovery of an old shawl, two engaging characters, and strong conflict!

But when she discovers an old prayer shawl and finds herself in his Regency world, she falls in love with him, a man she thought she invented! Miss Andrews, however, is also real—and she’d rather see Julian dead than in another womanʼs arms!
